We're Moving: Part Three (First Peek At Our New Home!)

This home is finally ours! What a journey it’s been! I’m actually in shock that we are here and this is our home, but it really feels meant to be. I’ll give you a first peek at it today, but rest assured there’s more to come. There is so much I want to say, so much to show you about this home and surroundings in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

It’s a special place. Several times a day we literally stop and say out loud I can’t believe this is our home! We feel HAPPY THANKFUL TEARS welling up in our eyes! It feels like I woke up from my dream and it’s here! It’s for real! It means so much to us.

I found this area up near the San Juan Islands several years ago (I’m a real estate stalker) and saved nearly each and every home that came on the market here to dream about for “someday” when we’d be empty nesters. Of course, I save homes all over the place, always wondering where we’d end up!

We made a couple of offers on homes in other areas over the years that we weren’t accepted. With the market as difficult as it’s been, the limitations we had, with the types of homes available and prices in the areas we wanted to live, plus the impact of 2020 on our business, it felt increasingly unlikely that we’d ever get a home we’d be fully in love with. I’m a dreamer, but I wasn’t feeling optimistic.

But here we are! Dreams came true in ways I never would have even thought to dream.
