Now that my kitchen remodel planning is behind me and the space is coming together (next week they will put in the drywall, floors and our cabinets will arrive, too!) I finally have time to think about which pretty accessories I want in it!

I love all kinds of kitchens, so narrowing down what THIS kitchen would look like was hard. I could’ve gone in so many directions and been so happy with my choices. Yet, one thing I’ve learned about myself along the way is I really enjoy changing the look of a kitchen with my own whims and the seasons.

Whether that’s through art on the walls, accessories on the counters, pretty crocks, pitchers, trays to corral useful items, a vase of seasonal foliage, tea towels, dishes, coffee mugs, any elements displayed on open shelving … decorating a kitchen brings me happiness all year long.

Our kitchen will feature a soft buttery white neutral palette, organic materials and architectural details. While it’s not a huge kitchen, it will feel welcoming and homey with plenty of space and flexibility to have fun with pretty and practical decor.
