Our Coastal Christmas Mantel

Get ready for photo overload because I am so excited to share our Coastal Christmas Mantel for 2023! I’ve waited all year for this :). For years our “Christmas theme” at home has been Forest & Sea and we don’t ever plan to change that. It is just “us.” In the coastal areas of Washington, you are always close to both the forest and sea, so it always feels like home.

For our Christmas mantel we used many of the traditional items we have and love such as the cedar garland mixed with pine cones, seashells, our darling Fox and Bunny figurines (holding more shells!), charming animal stocking holders, blue flameless taper candles, striped ribbons and string lights.

We also added our vintage blue and green glass floats to the mantel! Usually I keep them in our big shell, but we decided they were a lovely but subtle addition to the coastal Christmas mix.

One of my favorite shops for finding coastal style decor is Cailini Coastal. They recently offered to send me a box of lovely Christmas items, which we were delighted to add to our decor this year!

I will share photos and sources for the items I got from Cailini Coastal as well as others below (and you’ll also find a link to My Updated Favorite Black Friday Deals, where you’ll find many items from my home on sale!)

I noticed Cailini Coastal has a big sale on their Christmas items this weekend only, so you won’t want to miss that!

This year from Cailini Coastal we got these two gorgeous new blue velvet stockings along with their beautiful gilded natural oyster shell ornaments featuring a hand-painted nutcracker and lighthouse. They are exclusive and hand painted in the USA!

Aren’t they just beautiful?

We also got this beautiful abalone shell and pearl tree. It is so charming, I just love it.

We still plan to add our big Christmas tree in this room, but honestly I could be quite content with what we already have! I always start simple with our window candles, then we add the greenery and our porch stars will go up in the next week!

We don’t have a lot of space in this room for the big tree, but we sure love sitting here so I’m sure we’ll end up adding it! And clearly the dogs love it here, too. It’s just so cozy day and night.

I’m also working on a simple Christmas / Winter Dining Table to share with you! I’m excited to be able to decorate the whole main floor this year, now that our renovation is complete! If you missed our kitchen reveal, you can see it HERE. I can’t wait to add Christmas touches in the kitchen, too.

I’m also working on a post about our new bamboo shades, so stay tuned for that.

Very cozy! Is the blue and white vase with the flowers a vintage find or is it new? We use welcome lights all year in the windows of our 1870 farmhouse. They automatically come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. Yes the dogs look very content.

Where did you find the wonderful velvet stool with the nailheads that you have by the round table?

Thank you so much, Cathy! That’s so kind. Absolutely, the wall color is Beach Glass by Benjamin Moore.
