A Simple Christmas and Winter Table in Our Dining Nook

Can you believe that we’re almost into December? I am so excited to have our little dining nook finally finished that I had some early holiday fun setting up a simple Christmas and winter table. I will be adding more Christmas decor in here this week, but the table is so cozy it makes me happy.

With our first grandson on his way (Courtney’s baby due February 14th) I have already started thinking about all the memories we will make together at Christmas and all year round! I can’t wait to share special moments with him.

These little gingerbread house and snowflake plates were so adorable, I couldn’t resist! I don’t have a whole set of Christmas dishes but these darling appetizer plates were just the right festive touch to add to our all season white set. A few months ago you might remember I got these greenish hobnail glasses (which I love!) so I brought together a few other little things for this table. I love to mix and match so I can use some of the pieces that I have in others seasons. All of the sources are listed below.

I’m so excited for Christmas mornings or evenings gathered around the table with little ones again.

Happy decorating and memory-making, friends!

Is there a source for the white candlesticks (that hold the tapers)?

Lovely. You will find as your grandchildren are over for meals they will gravitate to your window seat. Our 4 grandsons wouldn’t sit any other place at the table! And that is just the way I planned it when we renovated our kitchen. I didn’t plan on the messy fingers on my pillows though 🙄

Ha well maybe it is for the best that we used a temporary solution of blankets with foam and haven’t yet invested in an upholstered bench seat. Much more washable! Can’t wait to have grands at this table. 🩵

That table looks really pretty. I like the dishes. Simplicity is underrated these days. A christmas table should not look like a christmas tree, that’s what I think. Lovely pics, by the way, thank you for sharing
