Yesterday was so windy and rainy it was practically like a monsoon around here! For a moment I was mourning the sun’s departure, but then I realized what that meant…autumn is really here!!!

I have always liked plaid, but never thought to incorporate into into the dining room or bedroom. I really love the plaid rug in the bedroom, such a unique, but fun and warm idea!

Plaid rules! I have a rectangular ottoman upholstered in a Frenchie floral fabric that will no longer DO in my current décor, sadly, I’m just too busy to reupholster it. That photo with the draped plaid blanket gave me a light bulb moment. Instant re-do! Now I can have my old ottoman up + running at our Dutch colonial by noon! TY!
