I believe creating a sanctuary is something that is foundational to living an authentic and inspired life. But as I’ve shared here over the years through The Inspired Room, designing a sanctuary isn’t just about having a well-styled room or just adding perfectly placed accessories. It’s about the life you want to live there. It’s about creating a space that really nurtures the people within your walls in every way. We need a healthy home in which to thrive, live and create so we can go out into the world and do great things.
We want our home to be our haven, but so often I’ve found even our best intentions can start to distract us from the way we want to live. Rather than nurturing us as we intend, the excessive stuff we bring into our home actually starts to make it more challenging for us to feel at peace there. The clutter can stifle us. Even the cleaning products, fragrances and chemicals we invite into our home to clean or to feed or take care of our family can inadvertently start to make our home a less healthy place to be.
This desire for simplicity and wellness in our home has been something that has motivated me for years. I shared many of my clutter and organizing struggles that impacted my home and sense of well-being in my book Make Room for What You Love (the ebook version of Make Room is just $4.99 through your favorite ebook retailers until Jan 17, 2017). Personally, health-wise I’ve also faced serious thyroid challenges (my TSH was at 75 at one point a few years ago, that’s crazy!), bouts of anxiety and even other seemingly random health issues through the years. My son had interesting reactions and sensitivities to certain foods as a young boy. These issues and many others inspired me to learn more about natural home remedies and products.
As I’ve shared here on the blog before, I’ve learned so much from my naturopathic doctor over the past thirty years. I’ve been inspired through my own ailments and research to make lifestyle changes. So what’s the catch of a wholesale membership? There is NO catch, no drawbacks. The membership also allows you to buy oils, diffusers and wellness products at a discount, when you need them at wholesale prices. Unlike many other companies that might seem similar, there are really no strings attached to becoming a member. You don’t have to commit to a monthly minimum or order products you don’t need. You simply get the products you want, when you want them, at the wholesale discounted prices. While many choose to offer discounts and memberships to others, you never have to share the business or ask others to buy oils from you. Never!
