Hello, friends! One of our favorite “staycation” activities is to go to local garden nurseries. We go all year round, not just in the spring and summer, but of course it’s extra fun on a nice day.
Everywhere we’ve lived I’ve always found at least one beautiful nursery that I love visiting. Often I’ll come home with some new plants or gifts, but a lot of the time I go to just wander! It’s so therapeutic.
We love stopping by Christianson’s Nursery. They have so many beautiful plants, greenhouses and even a garden shop and gift shop. Sometimes they even have events like antique fairs or markets.
I’ve shared Christianson’s Nursery a few times before.
You might even remember it was also the location of our daughter Courtney’s wedding a few years ago! It’s such a fun place to host an event. They have a nice barn and outdoor areas.
I always love their little gift shop (Primrose Antiques & Gifts). They have a really fun variety of vintage things, books, gifts and even local handmade clothes and adorable toys for little ones.
Whether you’re in the area for vacation, or just want a sunny day adventure from Seattle, I’d definitely recommend stopping here.
The only thing that would make this place even better would be a charming coffee shop here! I’ve seen coffee and food carts here for weekends or events, which is fun, but it’s just not a permanent feature.
Their greenhouses are gorgeous! If I lived on a big property I’d love to have a greenhouse of my own. But since I live on a tiny lot, I live for these visits to soak it all in.
Not pictured: our dogs! But we love that they allow dogs to visit, we bring them almost every time we come here. Our dogs are obsessed with everything at Christianson’s.
They even have bunnies and chickens and a llama, so it’s a fun place for kids and the whole family.
