Cordless lamps are one of my favorite inventions for the home. They work anywhere you want a soft, warm glow—without needing an outlet nearby or anywhere you don’t want to have a cord dangling!

I use cordless lamps all over our house: on the fireplace mantel, on my rattan cart in the kitchen, in the gift-wrap closet, on a bathroom counter, in our guest room and now inside my coffee cabinet, Once you start using them, you’ll find a hundred places they come in handy!

So far I have two different cordless lamp styles in my home, and both have been such great, practical finds—easy to charge, sturdy, and a really good value. I’ll share both in this post and photos of them around my home.

1. Bronze / gold cordless lamps

These are available as a single lamp or as a set of two, with multiple shade colors and finish options. Simple, classic, and easy to move wherever you need a little extra light.

2. Rattan shade on white lamps

These lamps come with two interchangeable shades (I chose the set with one white and one rattan shade). There are other finishes and shade options too—including some really charming striped versions. They’re also waterproof so I use them on our porch.

I’ve shared more about these lamps before here.

I recently added one of these lamps into my coffee cabinet (I shared more about that here). So cozy!

You can choose between a cooler toned lined or warmer toned light (all you have to do is tap the top to turn it on and change the color temperature!). Above is the cooler light.

I agree with these rechargeable cordless little lamps. They’re GREAT!! I especially love them as bedside lamps because I can dim them wayyyy down to a minimal amount of warm light if I want to read and hubby wants to go to sleep. And they are so easy to turn off instead of reaching all the way over to get to switch off the lamp.

I love these lamps too. Moveable and no cords!

I have a couple questions on unrelated topics. What is the plant on your rattan cart? It’s very nice. Is it faux? Also, I see that you have inset doors on your kitchen cabinetry. I also have them, though my kitchen is 25 yrs old and showing wear. Do you have any issues with their shifting and the space around the door becoming off kilter? I find this so aggravating and it makes me regret the decision for making this choice. They are worn and I am thinking about having them painted. But also mulling over a new kitchen, however that is a very expensive undertaking. I would appreciate your input and wisdom about kitchens/when to renovate, etc. The style is classic, which is a very positive point. Thank you so much. I love what you have done with your renovation.

I didn’t realize how much cords were bothering me until I saw these lamps styled around the house — it just looks so much cleaner and calmer without wires everywhere. I also like that you mentioned actually moving them around depending on the mood or season, because that’s exactly how I use lighting too. Now I’m seriously considering trying one on my kitchen counter where an outlet is awkwardly placed.
