I‘ve always been fascinated by gardens…particularly garden entrances! I love how arbors or gates can add such an inviting and intriguing touch to an outdoor space. They always beckon me to walk through them…which is a bit of a problem if I see one in someone else’s yard that I’m not invited to (ha!)…I’m always curious to see what’s on the other side.
I recently had the idea to relocate my metal arbor over to this arched garden gate in my side patio. It added another texture and level of character so I love how it turned out! I imagined my climbing white roses would grow over it in the next couple of years, but am delighted that my jasmine immediately found it and started climbing already!
I’ve had fences, gates, and arbors on the mind lately! I’ve considered adding a new gate and fence to my front yard, and my daughter Kylee is also currently looking at gate and fence inspiration for the new house she’s moving into in the next couple of weeks. I thought you’d enjoy seeing some of the inspiration I’ve found!
PS. If you love getting inspired by gardens, here are a few books I have and love flipping through: Garden Inspirations by Charlotte Moss, The Gardens of Bunny Mellon, and Out East: Houses and Gardens of the Hamptons.
I love how this home decorated their front arbor for fall!
This is such a cool idea to create a tunnel with a few arches in a row! Imagine how magical this would be at night with those outdoor path lights?
Maybe someday I’ll add an arbor above this gate in my side yard! I’m feeling inspired.
Hope you have a great weekend, friends.
