Watson Kennedy – A Seattle Home Store
Last week I was buzzing around Seattle on a glorious day and had time to pop into an adorable home store called Watson Kennedy. Visiting fun little places like this is like a therapy session for me! I get so inspired and rejuvenated by pretties and store displays. Even if I don’t buy anything, I leave feeling creatively refreshed and excited to use my own things in new ways.
I thought you might enjoy a little eye candy too (therapy, anyone?), so I did my undercover best to show you what I saw through the lens of my iphone!
Fun, huh? It was an inspiring visit and I’m glad you could come along on my little adventure!
Are you able to window shop and return home inspired to look at your own things in new ways?
Wow! What eye candy! I am loving all the red!! Yes, I am able to come home with refreshed ideas for decorating from shopping without buying something. And catalogs help me do that too! I think decorators are like sponges…we soak up ideas anywhere we can find them!
Those vintage letters and maps and charts are just awesome!
That looks like an amazing store! Wish I lived closer!
This store looks great and it looks as if you can find some neat stuff. Thanks for sharing
Cynthia

I wish I lived closer. Not across the country.
wonderful store…wish we had one here – not often can I window shop and not buy anything…that’s why I follow blogs like yours – so that I can get inspired without leaving my livingroom!!
thanks for the tour!

Melissa,
This looks like such a fun and original store. The good news for me, I’m headed to Seattle in September for a visit to a dear friend’s home on Bainbridge Island. I’ve added this gem to my list. :-)

What a terrific store! Places like this make me want to set my house up like a store and just wander around in it. Weird I know.
sweet old letters and wonderful dishcloth placemat!
yes, I get inspired to shift my stuff around, dig out things from boxes, drag furniture from room to room when I read what others are doing, get motivated by wandering through shops, or page through magazines. it usually doesn’t get me longing for more … just a bit of a kick to fully enjoy what I already gathered along the way.
Oh I would not have been able to get out of there without purchasing a few things…vintage letters and soap for two.
What a cool store…..I love window shopping and checking out vignettes in cute stores like this!
Totally fun! I’m thinking that you purchased a little something for the kitchen? Yes?
Thanks for taking me on your little photo excursion.
Hope your day is Extraordinary!
I am a Vancouver girl, love finding a new place to hunt for treasures! Thank you for sharing and all the great pictures. I just wish I had a basket to fill with all the fun things I saw in the pictures you took…. so amazing… I love your blog!

So many cute things! Wow, that store looks amazing!
What a fun shop to browse! Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for sharing the inspiration — love places like that!! Reminds me of a shop in Savannah . . . which is where I’m headed on Friday. Now I won’t forget to stop in!
I can see why you were inspired! Looks like a great store. I love the bird cage and branches display and those crazy big striped candles!
I’m so happy that I found your website! I live in WA for five years and visited Seattle so many times, but I never knew about this store. This store looks neat and looks like they have everything. Thanks for sharing! :)
What an amazing store! The pictures are wonderful, I felt like I was actually shopping through the store almost, such cool inventory of items they have! Your blog is so inspiring! I’m just dipping my toes into the blog world, still trying to figure everything out…come see me anytime: http://www.tinyhouses.weebly.com :)

Oh my gosh!!! I had goosebumps looking at the pics. I would love, love, love to go to that store. I’d be in there a long time, I’m sure.
Oh my , set me free in this wonderful store. I also conjur up some great ideas. The prices look reasonable . My mind is already coming up with some ideas and that was just a quick preview. Thanks for sharing!
I love the way they’ve set out the things in the store. You’re right. Going into a store like that in itself is an inspiration. You don’t even have to buy anything.
My April Seattle trip now has another agenda item. This looks great.
Great blog! I love it. This home store looks amazing. I would spend all my money.
I really loved the tour! I have a chair similar to the orange one in the picture that is calling me from the shed. Thank you!
This is so great to know of this store. I am from Yakima and we take day trips to Seattle frequently. Do you know any other great stores? I went to Jubilee thrift store in Bellevue yesterday, everything is donated, and quality stuff. This looks like a fun store, and looks like it would take a long time to get through.
I’m just starting to learn the area, but I’ll be sure to share what I find!!
Ok , looking forward to seeing some of your finds. How long have you been in Seattle, and why? Where are you from? Yakima is majorly different from Seattle!
I have two favorite stores in the United States. Watson-Kennedy in Seattle, and Gardenseed in California. I visit W-K every time I am in the city and I always find something I cannot live without.
Simply love the exterior of this shop. Fabulous!
I love this store! My office is only 1 block away and I love visiting often. Thank you for the reminder!
WOW…thats all i can say as im scrolling through these pictures. First of all, you took really great photos, kudos for that :)
Second, this store is amazing!! Wish this is available in Toronto, Canada! Did you end up purchasing anything?
Thank you for posting this! I would seriously take a trip to Seattle just to see this store. Totally my speed. Already orwarded this post to so many friends who would love this store equally as much. Love your blog ;)
LOVE that store. I could get lost in there for hours! Thanks so much for sharing. This is completely therapy!!!!
Love this store! And I just might be in Seattle in September. Better pick the airline with the two free bags policy! ;-)
