We are enjoying every moment of the sunshine, clear blue skies and the beautiful gray-blue of the summer sea here in the Puget Sound area! The weather has been glorious and we are trying to take full advantage while the sun is warm!
This past week we’ve spent most of our time drinking in the salty air, whether splashing in our local waterfront fountains by the marina or taking in the breathtaking waters and cities of Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. Embracing the moments of summer, one by one.
Soaking in the beautiful sparkle of the sea and imagining what adventures await …
just across land and sea…
Standing in awe of inspiring history and architecture.
Taking the time to stop and savor the laughs along the way,
while dreaming of what beautiful green grasses and lush flowers lie just beyond the white arbors.
Smiling and embracing it all.
From captivating views that literally took our breath along the way.
… to crossing friendly borders to explore the beauty beyond.
Human babies and fur babies all learning to live life to the full and savor it all, whether near or far — life is what you make of it.
By land or by sea. Home or away. Embracing the joy of living and being together.
Continuing the adventures and dreams that started so many years ago on the shores of Puget Sound, for a young girl out to sea.
Are you embracing your summer days?

I’ve always wanted to visit British Columbia… looks beautiful! I love cities right on the water, gorgeous…
That is beautiful! I lived in Olympia most of my childhood and NEVER visited Canada! My parents have since moved back to CA and I am living in the south now. Maybe someday….
I’m incredibly fortunate to live near the beautiful Inner Harbour and Empress Hotel you featured in your first few shots! My neighbourhood is surrounded by water on three sides and the amazing Beacon Hill Park on the fourth. Ah, heaven!
Oh wow! This is wonderful. I MUST show this to my son. He has been talking about moving to Vancouver, and this might help convince him (not that I want him to move that far away, but it sure looks like a gorgeous place to live and/or visit.)
Your daughter is the spitting image of you!
Looks like a great getaway. Ironically, I just purchased that exact print from Katie Daisy for my daughters’ bathroom. I love it!
Gorgeous! YES, I’m embracing summer; we’ve had spectacular, not-too-hot weather as well. School starts in 2 weeks so my hubby goes back to work; I’m almost in panic mode! Gotta fit more beach time in!
Love that Katie Daisy print, by the way…I have it in my craft room!
That arch is absolutely to die for! I can’t wait to get a better camera so I can share beautiful spots here in hampton roads. I think you’d like it here!
